Golf Course Greenskeeper

About the Role

Coastal Contracting Company, a subsidiary of Red Sea Global, is looking for a Greenskeeper to help maintain golf course conditions at a high standard. The role is focused on keeping greens, fairways, tees, and bunkers visually appealing and fully playable. It blends hands-on outdoor work with the use of specialist turf equipment.

What You Will Do

• Use walk-behind and ride-on mowers to trim greens, fairways, tees, aprons, and rough areas according to course requirements.
• Carry out daily course preparation such as changing hole positions, relocating tee markers, emptying trash bins, and refilling ball washers.
• Maintain bunkers and hazard areas by raking sand, smoothing surfaces, edging bunker lines, and removing debris.
• Support general landscaping by trimming hedges, clearing dew and fallen leaves, planting flowers, and controlling weeds and brush.
• Assist with irrigation monitoring, including checking turf moisture, watering dry spots by hand, and reporting or helping fix damaged irrigation lines.
• Help with turf recovery and renovation by laying sod, spreading seed, aerating soil, and repairing divots and ball marks.
• Clean, inspect, and carry out routine care on tools and turf machinery before and after use.

Requirements

• Prior work in landscaping, farming, or grounds maintenance is an advantage, though it is not mandatory because training will be provided on the job.
• A valid driver’s license is generally needed to operate utility vehicles on site.
• Availability for early shifts, usually beginning at 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM, and for rotating weekend duties is required.
• Applicants should be prepared for physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and spending long hours standing or walking in different weather conditions such as heat, rain, and cold.
• Safe use of utility vehicles, golf carts, hand tools, power tools, and motorized lawn equipment is expected.
