Role overview

Medirest is hiring a full-time Housekeeper to support healthcare cleaning operations in Surrey, England. This position is contracted for 35 hours per week and focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The work schedule follows a 5-day pattern across 7 days. You will be part of a team that takes pride in delivering consistently high standards of cleanliness across a healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Keep a broad range of building areas clean and well maintained.
• Carry out detailed cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming to a high standard.
• Regularly disinfect surfaces, floors, windows, and other frequently touched points.
• Handle extra cleaning duties when needed, including responding promptly and effectively to spillages.
• Remove waste from bins and dispose of it appropriately.
• Make sure all spaces remain tidy, presentable, and safe for visitors by following the required procedures.
• Work in line with health and safety rules whenever using cleaning equipment.
