Position Overview
Amwins is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Finance team and support retailer supplemental agreement work across a portfolio that continues to grow. The role centers on analyzing and modeling agreements, checking compliance, and tracking retailer performance. It is well suited to someone who is confident working in Excel, enjoys exploring data in depth, and wants to expand their capabilities with tools such as SQL, Power Pivot, and Power BI.
In addition to technical ability, this position calls for someone who can communicate effectively in both written and verbal settings, keep stakeholders aligned as agreements move through execution, and convert complex financial or analytical information into practical insights. The role involves regular collaboration with teams across the business, so active listening, sound judgment, organization, and thoughtful contribution are all important. Because the tools and processes will continue to evolve, a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continuously improve is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation, monitoring, and analysis of retailer supplemental agreements so they stay aligned with larger business objectives.
- Use SQL to evaluate the impact of new agreements and changes to existing agreements on the broader portfolio.
- Perform peer comparisons and market benchmarking to assess how retailer arrangements compare with competitors.
- Track front-end and opt-out compliance across production teams, identify possible risks, and help teams interpret and apply agreement terms correctly.
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, IT, and Marketing throughout agreement execution, revision, and renewal cycles.
- Assist with accruals and the final settlement of annual and quarterly retailer payments, ensuring the process remains accurate and coordinated.
- Build and maintain forecasts, variance analyses, and profit-sharing expense reports with a strong focus on precision and readability.
- Prepare financial reporting and present trends, findings, and recommendations to divisional and group leadership.
- Contribute to the development of Power BI dashboards that highlight retailer performance and key financial metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, strengthen analysis, and streamline workflows.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline, along with 0 to 3 years of experience. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required, and exposure to SQL, Power Pivot, or Power BI will be considered an advantage.
