Engineer Plant & Machinery

Role overview

This position is focused on managing plant and machinery operations at site, with responsibility for equipment commissioning, planned upkeep, repairs, spare parts control, and safe day-to-day functioning.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out inspection and commissioning of equipment according to site needs.
• Oversee periodic servicing, scheduled maintenance, and repair work.
• Organize maintenance activities in a clear and structured way.
• Build the maintenance task list and ensure all work is finished within the planned timeline.
• Plan and manage spare parts requirements.
• Coordinate with users to support smooth and effective equipment operation as per their needs.
• Follow all safety procedures during plant and machinery operations.
• Prepare, maintain, and implement maintenance checklists for all plant and machinery equipment.
• Handle additional work as assigned.

Education requirement

The role requires a B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience requirement

Applicants should have 3 years of experience for B.E. holders, or 5 years of experience for Diploma holders, in operations and maintenance of construction equipment. Experience in large construction or contracting organizations in a similar role is preferred, especially in oil & gas, heavy industry, or basic industry settings.

Skills and competencies

Strong technical understanding of equipment maintenance and spare parts handling is needed, along with the ability to manage manpower for site operations and maintenance. Familiarity with safety and quality standards, maintenance scheduling, and working knowledge of SAP and MS Office are also important.
