Role overview

The Electrical Foreman will lead the day-to-day electrical works at the project site. This position is responsible for making sure that installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and the project timeline, while working under the direction of the Electrical Site Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and organize daily electrical installation work on site, covering LV, MV, and other related systems where required.
• Assign tasks to electrical technicians, skilled workers, and laborers to maintain productivity and keep work moving efficiently.
• Carry out work according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and instructions from the Electrical Site Engineer.
• Track manpower usage and help ensure activities stay aligned with the approved schedule.
• Check work areas to confirm electrical installations are being completed accurately and to the required quality level.
• Work closely with civil, mechanical, and other site teams to prevent clashes and support smooth coordination.
• Submit daily updates on progress, manpower allocation, material needs, and site concerns to the Electrical Site Engineer.
• Make sure the necessary materials, tools, equipment, and consumables are available and used properly for site tasks.
• Confirm that materials delivered to site match approved specifications and are suitable for installation.
• Support testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Spot site restrictions, technical problems, or deviations and report them promptly to the Electrical Site Engineer.
• Ensure all team members follow electrical safety rules, site safety requirements, HSE procedures, and company policies.
• Lead daily toolbox talks and help maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor housekeeping and keep work areas neat and organized.
• Assist quality control efforts and support compliance with Inspection and Test Plans, checklists, and inspection requirements.
• Help correct non-conformities and carry out corrective actions as directed.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to avoid interruptions in workflow.
• Keep records of daily work, attendance, equipment usage, and completed activities.
• Assist in preparing snag lists and ensure pending rectifications are completed on time.
• Guide and coach electrical workers on the job to improve workmanship and output.
• Support cable pulling, cable termination, panel installation, lighting fixture installation, containment system installation, and related electrical work.
• Keep up to date with evolving installation methods, materials, and technologies relevant to electrical construction.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and experience

• An Electrical Diploma from a recognized technical or industrial institute, or an equivalent qualification, is required.
• At least 6 years of experience in electrical site execution, preferably on building services, MEP, commercial, residential, hospitality, or similar construction projects.
• Prior experience supervising electrical teams in construction environments is necessary.

Skills and abilities

• Solid understanding of electrical systems and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and installation details.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, cable categories, containment systems, fittings, tools, and equipment used in site execution.
• Familiarity with testing and commissioning support tasks.
• Awareness of electrical safety requirements and site HSE practices.
• Basic MS Office skills for reporting purposes are preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on workmanship quality.
• Good understanding of project workflows and site coordination needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Arabic is an added advantage.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
