About the role
Fielmann is looking for a Data Analyst to join its Data & Analytics team in Hamburg. The team’s purpose is to help the wider organization make better decisions by using data. In this position, you will work on company-wide topics such as profitability and support business units in strategically important initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead analytical work from the initial business question all the way to insights, recommendations, and the rollout of data-based solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to shape analytical questions, turn them into data needs, and identify the right internal and external data sources.
- Gather, examine, and interpret data to deliver clear insights that business teams and senior leaders can act on.
- Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards that provide a reliable and consistent view of Fielmann Group’s business performance.
- Partner with Data Engineers to strengthen the Data & Analytics Platform by defining requirements, checking data quality, and helping create dependable shared data assets.
- Promote a data-driven way of working by sharing best practices, supporting data users, and improving data literacy across the company.
Requirements
- A university degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a comparable field.
- At least 1 year of experience in data analytics.
- Strong numerical thinking and analytical ability.
- Good command of SQL.
- First-hand experience building dashboards in Power BI or another BI/visualization tool is an advantage.
- Experience with Python or R is a plus.
- Retail experience is considered a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English; German skills are beneficial.
- A structured working style and strong attention to detail.

Additional information
This role is based at the company headquarters in Hamburg and requires an onsite presence of 40% per week. Remote collaboration is not available.
