What you will do

• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Carry out compliance risk assessments and regular internal compliance checks.
• Prepare clear reports and updates for senior leadership and regulatory authorities.
• Guide business teams on how changing regulations affect their activities and decisions.
• Review new products and services to identify possible compliance risks or obligations.
• Support training efforts that strengthen awareness of compliance responsibilities across the organization.
• Handle audit requests and regulatory inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Track and coordinate corrective actions when gaps or issues are identified.
• Continuously refine the compliance framework to improve effectiveness and control strength.

Qualifications and profile

• Previous background in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs, ideally in financial services or another closely regulated sector.
• Solid understanding of applicable regulations, international standards, and industry best practices for banking or financial services.
• Ability to interpret legal and regulatory language, turn it into practical policies, and explain requirements to different stakeholders.
• Strong analytical ability, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work across teams and influence decisions.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid arrangement while handling several priorities and protecting confidential information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related subject; professional certifications such as CRCM, CAMS, or similar are considered advantageous.
• Professional English proficiency; additional regional language ability is a plus.
