Cashier

Job Overview

This position is for a Cashier within a confidential medical practice in Abha, 'Asir, Saudi Arabia. The role sits in the Finance / Patient Financial Services area and reports to the Finance Manager. The main purpose of the job is to manage patient collections, prepare receipts, and support day-to-day financial processing in the hospital while maintaining accuracy, proper records, and a high level of service for patients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept and process payments from patients and visitors for consultations, treatments, procedures, and other hospital-related charges.
• Create receipts and keep complete, accurate documentation of every financial transaction.
• Count cash collected, verify totals, and complete daily reconciliation reports in line with hospital procedures.
• Work with billing, admissions, and insurance staff to confirm charges and payment details when needed.
• Respond to payment-related questions and provide courteous, professional support to patients and visitors.

Qualifications

The preferred background includes 1 to 3 years of experience in cashiering, customer service, finance, retail, or a similar function. A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline is expected. Prior exposure to a hospital or healthcare setting is advantageous. Familiarity with cash handling, financial transactions, and point-of-sale systems is also preferred.
