Role Overview

This position is focused on keeping receiving and merchandising work running smoothly while helping the team process inventory efficiently. The role also supports a well-kept sales floor and a strong customer experience through professional, friendly interaction with shoppers.

Key Duties

• Deliver a welcoming experience for both customers and internal team members.
• Encourage a workplace built on honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Coordinate truck unloading and make sure merchandise moves to the sales floor in priority order.
• Coach and support associates on merchandising and processing best practices.
• Verify that merchandise is tagged, hung, secured, and coded correctly.
• Work closely with the Coordinator on Duty to keep goods flowing efficiently to the sales floor.
• Make sure associates complete tasks in line with the store’s plan, adjusting priorities when needed.
• Track team productivity and provide coaching when performance needs improvement.
• Arrange and cycle back stock so replenishment is fast and simple.
• Maintain merchandising standards, signage requirements, and the overall recovery philosophy.
• Keep the backroom clean, organized, and compliant with all standards.
• Support recycling requirements and any applicable hazardous waste procedures.
• Communicate priorities, progress, and updates clearly with managers and associates.
• Give and receive recognition as well as constructive feedback.
• Partner with management to identify associate training needs.
• Follow labor laws, company policies, and store procedures.
• Support credit and loyalty initiatives.
• Help drive shrink reduction goals and related programs.
• Promote safety and maintain a safe working environment.
• Handle other responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule and Working Conditions

This is a flexible retail schedule that includes nights and weekends. The role requires the ability to multitask, adapt quickly to changing priorities or unexpected situations, and lift heavy items with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational abilities with close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Comfortable adjusting to shifting priorities and unexpected circumstances.
• Collaborative team player who works well with peers and supervisors.
• Able to train other associates.
• At least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $14.50 to $15.00 per hour. Final starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
