What you will do

  • Create, coordinate, and issue draft technical audit instructions and guidelines for financial audits and investigations.
  • Prepare interim and final reports throughout the investigation for use by other staff members.
  • Organize secure storage, preservation, indexing, and tracking of large volumes of documentary evidence.
  • Help compile and review documents and physical evidence, and produce charts, graphs, and audio-visual materials for motions and trial use.
  • Meet with designated federal agency staff and, when necessary, state and local officials during investigations.
  • Carry out other duties within the scope of the assignment.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in statistical analysis, data analysis, finance, accounting, fraud examination, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination, or statistical/data analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass the required background adjudication process.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the services described for the role.
  • Preferred: experience reviewing medical records and understanding medical billing procedures.
  • Preferred: familiarity with STARS and/or Business Objects.
  • Preferred: prior experience with a federal or state legal or law enforcement organization.
