Role overview

BNT is seeking a capable and driven people leader to step into the Assistant Branch Manager role at the Upper Hutt branch. In this position, you will support the Branch Manager and help keep the branch operating smoothly while contributing to commercial performance.

You will be responsible for guiding a mixed team that includes customer service staff, drivers and warehouse assistants, while also supporting the branch’s internal day-to-day operations. The role has oversight of customer service, warehouse and delivery activity, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency and customer experience.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with alternate Saturday mornings. It offers a competitive salary, incentive-based rewards for results, and generous staff discounts. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring customer service experience, with automotive or trade industry exposure seen as a strong advantage. You should be comfortable using computers, and basic Excel knowledge will be helpful.

A real interest in cars or parts is important, along with clear communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to stay accurate in a busy, fast-moving environment. A team-oriented mindset is essential, as collaboration is part of the culture.
