Role overview
This permanent full-time position is based in Ōtautahi/Christchurch and offers a starting salary of $73,045. The role supports Border Clearance Services within Biosecurity New Zealand, helping ensure frontline biosecurity operations are staffed effectively across the Central/South region. The focus is on practical workforce planning, accurate scheduling, and quick response to changes so services can continue to run smoothly.
What you will do
- Keep rosters accurate and aligned with changing operational needs.
- Adjust schedules promptly when unexpected operational issues arise.
- Share clear rostering and staffing insights with managers to support decision-making.
- Look for better ways to improve rostering processes and the tools used to manage them.
- Track, review, and report on roster performance and scheduling measures to improve efficiency and maintain compliance.
- Work alongside frontline leaders and teams to resolve day-to-day operational challenges across multiple sites.
