Role overview

Edmund Hillary Retirement Village in Remuera, Auckland is seeking a practical, hands-on support team member to assist with day-to-day maintenance tasks across the village. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.

The role suits someone who enjoys varied physical work, supporting residents, and helping maintain a welcoming environment in a retirement village setting.

Key duties

• Support new residents as they move into the village, including shifting furniture and helping with apartment setup for up to four hours.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish according to the scheduled routine.
• Help keep the village grounds and gardens maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with incoming goods, stock control, and store management.
• Contribute to a warm, caring, and welcoming atmosphere throughout the village.

What the role involves

This position is physically demanding and includes a lot of lifting, carrying, and time spent on your feet. It is well suited to someone who likes manual tasks and being active throughout the day.
