About the Role

The UX Design Intern will support the product design team across the full design lifecycle for key product initiatives. This position provides hands-on exposure to user research, interaction design, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-moving product setting.

This is an unpaid internship designed for learning and professional growth. Academic credit may be available if applicable. The role is open to undergraduate students.

Location

This is an office-based position in Bellevue, Washington.

Responsibilities

• Help create product experiences from early discovery through final delivery, including wireframes, user journeys, and polished prototypes.
• Support user research activities such as interviews, usability testing, and analysis of research findings.
• Contribute to the upkeep and ongoing improvement of Armada AI’s design system.
• Work alongside product managers and engineers to make sure the implemented experience matches the design intent.
• Take part in design critiques, reviews, and cross-functional planning discussions.
• Record design choices and explain the reasoning behind them to different stakeholders.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a closely related field.
• A portfolio that shows UX thinking and problem-solving across one or more projects.
• Comfort using Figma or similar design and prototyping software.
• Understanding of user research approaches and usability basics.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present work to cross-functional teams.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
