Role overview

Perkins&Will is looking for an entry-level Urban Designer I to join its Singapore design team. In this role, you will contribute creative support across the full design workflow, working with guidance from senior team members and helping the studio deliver high-quality urban design outcomes.

What you will do

  • Assist with creative development across the design process while following team direction and established workflows.
  • Support the team in meeting project and firm standards for design quality, execution, and living design principles.
  • Help with information gathering, research, and early-stage creative exploration.
  • Study sites, programs, and other project factors using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Prepare analytical and design drawings through hand sketching, physical models, digital analysis, and 3D/2D modeling.
  • Contribute to design documentation such as master plan reports, design guidelines, and presentation decks for clients.
  • Incorporate feedback by coordinating revisions to drawings, deliverables, mock-ups, and related project materials.
  • Support the review and integration of zoning and policy requirements into design work.
  • Help shape urban framework strategies covering circulation, open space, buildings, and infrastructure.
  • Take part in client discussions and public-facing presentations when needed.
  • Grow ownership of tasks within project teams and studio activities over time.
  • Apply sound creative judgment throughout the design process.
  • Bring curiosity, initiative, and interest in the wider design industry.
  • Participate actively in team sessions, charettes, reviews, and pin-ups.
  • Maintain clear communication with teammates and the designated team leader.
