This is a field-focused technical and client-facing position based in New South Wales, Australia. Accountabilities
- Run product demonstrations and technical walkthroughs for distributors and end users to encourage product uptake and effective use.
- Organize, coordinate, and carry out system trials with target customers to confirm performance and support market positioning.
- Set up and support paint systems and associated equipment, including mixing equipment and colour tools, with attention to correct installation and use.
- Provide continuous technical guidance on colour, application, and product use to distributors and customers, addressing issues and improving performance outcomes.
- Conduct training for both new and existing users so they understand how to apply the products and systems properly.
- Investigate and resolve application-related technical questions raised by customers and distributors in a prompt and practical way.
- Build strong relationships, increase product usage, and identify new opportunities to grow the customer base across the territory.
Requirements
- Formal trade qualification in automotive spray painting, backed by at least 4 years of practical industry experience.
- Background working with customers, distributors, or commercial partners in automotive refinishing or coatings.
- Solid technical knowledge of spray painting systems, application methods, and colour matching.
- Comfort using Windows and Microsoft Office for reporting, communication, and account management tasks.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to teach, influence, and support different stakeholders.
- Well-developed planning and time management skills, with the ability to handle a regional territory independently.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision in a field-based environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently throughout New South Wales.
