About START
The START Center for Cancer Research is the largest global network focused exclusively on early-phase oncology research. Through its community-based practices in the United States and Europe, START helps bring access to advanced clinical trials and support its mission of “Hope Through Access.”
Role Overview
START is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to own sourcing and end-to-end recruitment for positions within the Phase One business unit. The role works closely with the talent acquisition function to strengthen hiring practices, roll out effective programs, and align recruiting activity with organizational priorities. It also plays a key part in evaluating candidate fit, conducting interviews, and supporting hiring managers through selection decisions.
Work Location and Schedule
This position is remote and based in the United States. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this role is between $80,000 and $100,000. Actual pay may differ depending on market location, role-specific expertise, skills, and prior experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, business goals, team culture, and both immediate and long-term hiring priorities.
- Drive the recruiting process forward with urgency to help fill open positions efficiently.
- Build and sustain a strong candidate pipeline through networking, outreach, and social media engagement.
- Deliver a high-quality candidate journey from initial contact through offer discussion and negotiation using clear, responsive, and professional communication.
- Create sourcing approaches that lower dependence on external agencies and use market knowledge to improve search effectiveness.
- Monitor recruitment trends and adjust hiring methods to strengthen candidate attraction and selection.
- Review recruiting metrics and share regular updates and insights with hiring managers to support better decisions and a smoother hiring process.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least 10 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-moving environment.
- Background in talent acquisition within pharmaceutical, CRO, biotech, and/or healthcare settings.
Preferred Background
- Prior experience in an oncology environment is preferred.
