Role overview
This position is for an accomplished Supply Chain Analyst who will contribute to procurement and category management work tied to Drilling & Completions operations in Saudi Arabia. The role centers on building sourcing and contracting approaches, improving cost efficiency, and keeping supplier performance aligned with operational needs and wider business goals in the oil and gas environment.
What you'll do
- Create and roll out sourcing, contracting, and category management plans for Drilling & Completions materials and services.
- Spot opportunities to reduce costs and generate additional value across supply chain processes.
- Assist with supplier assessment, vendor selection, commercial discussions, and ongoing performance tracking.
- Review market movements, spend patterns, and supply chain exposure to inform strategic choices.
- Make sure procurement work follows internal policies and recognized industry standards.
- Work with SAP and Ariba to handle procurement, sourcing, and contract-related tasks.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required; Engineering is preferred.
- A master’s degree would be an advantage.
- At least 10 years of steady experience in the oil and gas sector, with strong exposure to Supply Chain Management and Category Management.
- Deep hands-on experience with Drilling & Completions categories covering both goods and services.
- Background in supporting unconventional resource operations and shaping contract strategies for drilling and completion work.
- Good working knowledge of SAP and Ariba is essential.
- CSCP certification is preferred.
