Role overview

This permanent, full-time Stores and Packing Operative position is based on site in Cressex, High Wycombe, HP12 3SL. The working pattern is Monday to Friday for 39 hours per week.

The role sits within ELGA LabWater’s manufacturing environment and is focused on the smooth handling of goods inwards, accurate stock movement, and careful preparation of parts and finished products for production and dispatch.

The facility is a modern manufacturing site with updated amenities, including a large breakout space with a new kitchen, ample parking, and strong public transport connections.

Key responsibilities

• Pick the correct parts needed for production with accuracy.
• Pack and combine production orders carefully and efficiently.
• Prepare finished goods for despatch, including packing, completing paperwork, and loading vehicles.
• Work to clear instructions and documented procedures, making straightforward decisions from approved options when required.
• Contribute to improvement activities within the stores area.
• Help maintain a strong 5S standard across the work area.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of stock control and health and safety practices, along with the ability to work well in a committed team. Strong IT skills are important, and experience with Google Workspace would be helpful.

You should be well organised, able to prioritise tasks, self-motivated, conscientious, and comfortable working in a team-focused environment. A practical, flexible approach to problem-solving is also valued.

Additional requirements

• Manual handling training is desirable, although training will be provided.
• A clean UK driving licence is preferred.
• A forklift licence would be an advantage.
