Store Shift Lead

Murphy USA is a major gasoline and convenience retail chain operating more than 1,700 locations across 27 states. The company is looking to bring in Shift Leads right away for both full-time and part-time schedules. This role is focused on delivering excellent customer service, keeping store operations running smoothly, and supporting the store manager and team in day-to-day activities.

• Shift Lead pay range: $11.75 to $12.25 per hour.
• Assistant Manager salary range: $13.50 to $14.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quick, friendly, and reliable service to every customer.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and service concerns in a timely way.
• Assist with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operate the cash register and support checkout activity.
• Keep fuel and merchandise stocked for customer access.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
• Support the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Help the team work toward and exceed store goals and performance targets.
• Complete other assigned store-related duties as needed.
• When management is not present, take on backup responsibilities such as daily and monthly paperwork, issue resolution, video review, planogram compliance, inventory ordering, product counts, equipment upkeep, and training new team members.

Requirements

• Must meet the age requirement of 18 or older, with higher minimum ages applying in certain states: 19 in Indiana; 20 in Kentucky; and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah.
• High school diploma or GED, or at least 6 months of related work experience.
• At least 3 months of cashier experience is required.
• Ability to repeatedly bend, stand, and reach throughout the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
