Role Summary
The Store Clerk role sits within the Finance department and reports to the Store Supervisor. This position supports the hotel’s financial control and operational stability by helping reduce risk and by handling the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods according to established procedures.
What Success Looks Like
- All incoming goods are checked, verified, and clearly labeled.
- Inventory is kept in a secure, hygienic, orderly, and properly maintained storage environment.
- Items are released only when supported by approved requisition forms.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and work in line with all Raffles Seychelles policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional approach and uphold the Raffles Seychelles code of conduct.
- Enter issued items into the system whenever required.
- Keep product labels accurate, including item names, dates, and par levels.
- Release stock promptly against valid and authorized requisitions.
- Carry out store inventory checks according to the required timetable and guidelines.
- Identify and report slow-moving or dead stock to the supervisor.
- Log and review any goods issued outside regular hours.
- Ensure all storerooms remain locked, monitored, tidy, and well organized at all times.
- Support Management with other assigned duties and assist the Cost Control, Receiving, and Purchasing teams when needed.
- Raise any discrepancies or operational concerns with the supervisor.
- Accept that duties may be adjusted from time to time based on business and hotel requirements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is physically fit, presents well, and maintains a pleasant appearance. Strong spoken and written English is required. The role also calls for initiative, a collaborative mindset, a people-oriented attitude, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of O Level education or an equivalent qualification is required. Candidates should also bring 1 to 2 years of experience in a comparable role.
