Role overview

This position is part of the Food & Beverage and Culinary function at W Hotels in Riyadh. The role is focused on keeping kitchen, storage, and stewarding areas clean, organized, and safe while supporting the smooth flow of dishes, equipment, and supplies.

Key duties

• Run and care for cleaning tools and equipment such as dishwashers, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen spaces, storerooms, tables, utensils, knives, and other culinary equipment.
• Accept deliveries, store food items correctly, and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Make sure clean dishes and wares are placed in the proper storage areas.
• Use detergent, rinse agents, and sanitizing chemicals in a three-compartment sink to wash dishes effectively.
• Check cleaned items, separate anything that needs to be washed again, and stack items properly after cleaning.
• Spray and rack dishes with hot water to soften and remove leftover food.
• Sort, soak, and rewash silverware as needed.
• Break down dirty bus tubs, clear out trash cans, and keep the dumpster area tidy.
• Sweep, mop, and clean assigned work areas.
• Dispose of broken glass safely in the correct containers.
• Flatten cardboard boxes and place recyclables in the designated recycling bins.

• Follow company procedures, safety rules, and security guidelines at all times.
• Report maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly to a manager.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Help protect company property and assets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
• Build positive working relationships and support the team in meeting shared goals.
• Maintain the expected quality standards for the department.
• Be able to move, lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Be comfortable standing, sitting, or walking for long periods and performing movements such as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Carry out other duties assigned by supervisors when needed.
