Staff Nurse - Emergency

About the Role

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman is seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department. This position is crucial for providing high-quality patient care, encompassing assessment, treatment, and ongoing evaluation. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and their families, offering both physical and emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and perform timely triage and interventions.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, document observations, and adjust care strategies as necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient results.
• Utilize SBAR for handover reports and ensure seamless communication.
• Educate patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions.
• Strictly adhere to all infection control and safety regulations.
• Report any incidents or near misses and actively contribute to quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all patient care activities.
• Perform patient triage and assessments according to established protocols.
• Provide immediate care for patients presenting with emergency conditions, including minor procedures.
• Support physicians in conducting diagnostic tests and medical procedures.
• Maintain a high level of composure and efficiency in demanding, fast-paced emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Hold a valid UAE Nursing License or be eligible to obtain one.
• Maintain current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
