ജോലി വിവരണം

About the role

This opportunity is with a well-established shipping business operating in the UAE Free Zone environment, with offices in Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai. The company is hiring two Shipping & Chartering Admin Executives, with one opening tied to each location. The role is flexible and can be structured as either part-time or full-time.

The position involves significant legal accountability. The selected professional will act as an authorised company representative for commercial shipping matters, including signing charter party agreements, contracts, deeds, and connected maritime paperwork on the company’s behalf. This role is only suitable for people who already have real shipping-sector experience and are comfortable taking on formal responsibility.

Working arrangement

Applicants may choose between two scheduling options:

  • Part-time: 2 in-office days per week
  • Full-time: 5 in-office days per week, with half-day working hours

There are two separate openings: one for Ras Al Khaimah and one for Dubai. Candidates should apply for the office they can commute to and clearly state their preferred arrangement.

Key responsibilities

  • Represent the company in commercial shipping activities, vessel fixtures, and maritime transactions.
  • Review, execute, and sign charter party contracts, deeds, and other shipping-related documents on behalf of the business.
  • Manage the document-signing workflow so agreements are completed without delay.
  • Use the company chop/seal on official paperwork whenever required.
  • Support administration by visiting the company secretary, auditors, banks, and government offices for document submission, collection, and follow-up.
  • Prepare records and paperwork for audit requirements.
  • Work with the company’s Danaos system at a basic operational level and help respond to auditor questions using relevant documentation.
  • Take on additional tasks assigned by management from time to time.

Candidate profile

Applicants must be UAE citizens, hold a valid UAE passport, or be eligible for UAE work visa sponsorship with prior regional work experience. Candidates who do not fall into one of these categories will not be considered.

A recognised university degree or equivalent qualification is required at minimum.

Most importantly, candidates must have direct, practical experience in the shipping industry. This is the core requirement for the role, and applicants without authentic maritime or shipping exposure will not move forward, regardless of other strengths.

Preferred capabilities

  • Knowledge of charter party agreements and standard shipping documentation.
  • Exposure to the Danaos accounting or shipping management platform is beneficial.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication.
  • A careful, accountable working style with the ability to operate independently.
  • Willingness to attend banks, ministries, and other regulatory or official offices when needed.

Compensation and notes

Pay will be competitive and will be shared during the application process. The final rate will be confirmed once the updated job description is completed.

For full-time applicants, visa sponsorship may be available for qualifying Filipino expats. Part-time applicants must already have UAE citizenship, as no sponsorship is offered for the part-time arrangement.

Shortlisted candidates will need to provide a recent photograph together with their CV for client review. Candidates must also confirm both their preferred work pattern and the office location they are applying for before submitting their application.

Because the job includes signing legal documents on the company’s behalf, the nationality and eligibility rules are strict and cannot be waived. Applicants who do not meet the stated criteria are advised not to apply.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, typically within 14 to 21 business days.
