About the opportunity

Thiess is looking for a Serviceperson to join its Maintenance Team on a 14/7 roster. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys varied work, takes responsibility seriously, and values being recognised for strong performance. The position is linked to the Yilgarn Iron Ore Project, which covers the Koolyanobbing, Windarling and Parker Range sites. The Yilgarn region has a long mining history and sits within the Shires of Yilgarn and Menzies, with ore transported by rail to Esperance Port for export. The active mining areas are located on the land of the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.

What you will do

• Carry out servicing and repairs on tyre and track earthmoving equipment.
• Support preventive maintenance and repair work on off-highway machinery, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Work with a strong focus on safety and quality standards.
• Spot equipment issues during servicing and either resolve them or escalate them to the workshop or management team.
• Perform tasks effectively on your own and also contribute as part of a team.

About you

• You have prior experience working as a Service Person in mining or a workshop setting.
• You have operated a service truck on highways before.
• You hold a current HR driver’s licence.
• You consistently apply a strong commitment to health and safety.
• High Risk Work Licences such as WP, LF and rigging are considered an advantage.
