Senior Video Editor

About the Role

A marketing agency is looking for a Senior Video Editor who can turn raw footage into polished, high-impact content. The right person will have solid experience creating social media edits, long-form videos, promotional films, and commercial campaign assets.

This position calls for someone who can handle projects from the initial rough cut through to final export, with close attention to narrative flow, timing, colour work, and audio polish. You’ll partner with creative directors, strategists, clients, and other team members to deliver engaging video content that meets the brief and the deadline.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine video assets for social platforms, long-form storytelling pieces, and advertising campaigns.
• Own projects from rough assembly to final handoff while keeping quality standards and timelines on track.
• Work with creative directors, strategists, and clients to interpret briefs and translate them into effective visual stories.
• Maintain an orderly system for footage, project files, and archived media.
• Provide support, direction, and feedback to junior editors.
• Keep up with current editing styles, content trends, and platform-specific video practices.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional video editing experience.
• Experience in a marketing agency or similarly fast-moving creative setting is an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong command of editing rhythm, storytelling, colour correction, and sound design.
• Background in editing social content, long-form productions, and commercial videos.
• Ability to balance several projects at once without lowering standards.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Skills

• Motion graphics creation.
• Visual effects work.
• Knowledge of colour grading workflows.
• Understanding of video output requirements for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and broadcast channels.
