Senior Software Engineer (Swift)

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior-level Swift engineer to support financial operations by shaping and governing SWIFT infrastructure. In this role, you will bring deep expertise in SWIFT technical processes, help automate business workflows, and work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver dependable solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of SWIFT infrastructure and participate in architecture reviews with teams across functions.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external SWIFT technical partners and help plan implementation activities.
• Support business process modelling and automation by working with business owners and vendors.
• Convert business requirements into technical directions and make sure automation efforts stay aligned with those requirements.
• Evaluate and refine test cases to help achieve broad and reliable test coverage.
• Act as a subject matter expert and help resolve differences between internal and external stakeholders.
• Recommend proven approaches for SWIFT implementation while keeping security expectations in mind.

Required Background

• Prior experience in financial services, ideally as a technical business lead or in system integration roles.
• Strong working knowledge of SWIFT offerings and platforms, including Alliance Gateway, SWIFTNet, FIN, and ISO 20022.
• Practical experience with payments and securities messaging processes.
• Awareness of SWIFT Customer Security Program (CSP) requirements and associated controls.
• Hands-on exposure to business process modelling and automation.
• Understanding of the IT technology landscape used in medium- to large-scale implementations.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
