Role overview
This position sits within a multidisciplinary design environment focused on delivering high-quality built environment solutions across the Middle East. The work calls for strong design capability, a portfolio that demonstrates relevant project experience, and the ability to produce landscape concepts and detailed work suited to regional conditions. The role offers exposure to international practice within a globally recognized consultancy.
Key responsibilities
- Define the scope and objectives for landscape projects.
- Plan and coordinate design presentations for clients.
- Develop and track the design review schedule and ensure it is followed.
- Oversee the financial aspects of design delivery.
- Identify project-specific risks and manage them proactively.
- Establish design criteria, standards, and key parameters.
- Monitor the quality of design outputs.
- Prepare and manage design modifications.
- Appoint and coordinate sub-consultants and other external services as needed.
- Liaise technically with heads of other disciplines.
Technical qualifications
- A relevant degree and professional affiliation are required.
- Applicants should bring 8 to 12 years of experience in landscape architecture, including site implementation.
- Experience in bid and proposal preparation is important.
- A strong understanding of design, tendering, and construction workflows is expected.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is needed.
- Exposure to SketchUp and Adobe CS5 tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is required.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles is expected.
Behavioral competencies
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
- The role requires the ability to guide a small team of around 3 to 4 people.
