Role Overview
This position is central to strengthening and sustaining client partnerships by managing strategic key accounts and aligning customer needs with the organization’s business goals. It requires a solid grasp of client operations so that tailored logistics and supply chain solutions can be designed to solve specific challenges and unlock new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create account plans and commercial strategies that support sales objectives and revenue targets.
- Build durable client relationships that improve loyalty and encourage retention.
- Track account performance and share clear reports with customers and senior stakeholders.
- Oversee timelines, milestones, and delivery commitments for important account projects.
- Make sure all service commitments and contractual terms are followed, including SLAs.
- Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to meet client expectations.
- Spot risks early and take action to resolve issues before they affect service quality.
- Guide clients on Aramex services and digital tools through training and support.
- Partner with marketing teams to design campaigns aimed at strategic accounts.
- Run benchmarking exercises to keep offerings competitive in the market.
- Keep up with logistics industry developments, trends, and best practices to improve performance.
- Develop high-value relationships with key customers to support business expansion.
- Understand each client’s business goals and adapt logistics solutions accordingly.
- Serve as the main contact for key accounts and manage questions, concerns, and follow-ups.
- Conduct regular business reviews to measure satisfaction and identify improvement areas.
- Monitor account KPIs and turn findings into actionable optimization insights.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to grow account revenue.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service agreements with important clients.
- Assess market movements and competitor activity to shape account strategy.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 5 and 7 years of experience in account management or sales, preferably within logistics or supply chain.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- A demonstrated record of managing major accounts and delivering revenue growth.
- Proven ability to develop and sustain strategic customer relationships.
- Good understanding of logistics and supply chain workflows and industry standards.
- Ability to study market trends and translate them into effective account plans.
- Experience handling negotiations, contract discussions, and pricing agreements.
- Prior exposure to customer-facing roles with a focus on high-quality service delivery.
