About the Role

As an Interior Designer & Furniture Specialist, you will contribute to the creation of highly functional, beautifully finished residential spaces tailored to each client’s needs. The role combines design development, furniture and styling expertise, and hands-on project coordination.

You will help guide clients through a thoughtful design process, earning trust as you interpret their ideas into refined interiors. Success in this position requires strong creative judgment, technical skill, and a meticulous eye for detail, along with the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and discovery sessions to understand lifestyle needs, vision, and spatial goals.
• Shape and develop the concept direction for projects alongside the Creative Director.
• Create and manage spatial plans, layouts, and furniture schemes.
• Prepare project documentation that clearly communicates the intended design for construction.
• Solve design issues with practical, efficient, and thoughtful outcomes.
• Visit sites and provide design oversight throughout the construction stage.
• Work with consultants, certifiers, and local council processes, including DA and CDC submissions where needed.
• Manage the relationship between the design brief, budget, schedule, and client expectations at every stage.
• Guide the furniture and styling strategy across projects.
• Build furniture scopes, selection schedules, and budgets that align with design intent and target margins.
• Present ideas to clients in a clear, persuasive, and polished way.
• Develop layered interiors through careful attention to material combinations and proportion.
• Source and purchase furniture, finishes, and decorative items from Australian and overseas suppliers.
• Help maintain and expand supplier relationships.
