Role overview
The Los Angeles Dodgers are hiring a Senior Graphic Designer to join the Marketing department in Los Angeles, California. This full-time, non-union position reports to the Senior Manager, Graphic Design and is classified as non-exempt. The pay range for this role is $42 to $46, and compensation may vary depending on relevant experience, job skills, education, and training.
What you will do
In this role, you will create and develop visual assets for a wide range of print and digital projects. The work includes general layout design, pre-press preparation, and digital photo editing for high-visibility assignments.
- Develop the concept and design for visual content across print and digital channels, including ad campaigns, sales and marketing materials, logos, billboards, packaging, signage, DodgerVision graphics, and social media support assets.
- Deliver polished graphics work at different levels of complexity, such as image cutouts, uniform swaps, and headshot production for DodgerVision.
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Graphic Design and other collaborators to align creative direction with broader brand goals and fan engagement priorities.
- Maintain consistent visual standards and creative quality across all brand touchpoints by following established identity guidelines.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and production partners, managing quality control, timelines, and project deliverables.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Experience and qualifications
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience. The role calls for at least 5 years of experience in a design and production setting, along with a minimum of 3 years in media, entertainment, or sports.
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud tools, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro.
- Comfort with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop animation.
- Ability to operate in a Macintosh environment.
- Experience handling multiple deadlines and staying effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
- Excellent visual and grammatical attention to detail.
- Self-directed approach with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to move projects from concept through final delivery, including gathering extra input from sponsors and stakeholders when needed.
- Solid understanding of core design principles such as gestalt, negative space, balance, and hierarchy.
- Strong typography skills and a solid grasp of the creative production process.
- Ability to design for both print and web-based formats.
- Clear communication skills for coordinating deadlines and production steps with vendors.
- Professional work ethic and a proactive, can-do mindset.
- Familiarity with the Dodgers and baseball history is a strong advantage.
