Company Overview

Role Summary
This 12-month contract is for a hands-on Senior Artworker / Senior Designer-style role focused on the technical production of a major insurance document rollout. You will be responsible for formatting, updating, and brand-aligning long, text-heavy materials such as policy wordings and interactive forms, while maintaining precision across multiple brand portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the formatting, revision, and brand consistency of more than 600 multi-page, content-heavy insurance documents.
- Create and apply advanced nested paragraph, character, and object styles in Adobe InDesign to keep layouts consistent across different brand assets.
- Develop, revise, and improve interactive PDF forms in Adobe Acrobat so they are easy to use and technically sound.
- Work closely with the project team, legal and compliance stakeholders, and brand representatives to deliver accurate materials within deadlines.
- Maintain tight version control, monitor text changes, and prevent layout shifts or formatting mistakes across large volumes of pages.
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience as a senior artworker or equivalent production-focused design role, ideally handling large document rollouts under pressure.
- Strong command of Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat, including advanced typography and typesetting practices.
- Extensive experience managing complex InDesign style sheets and using them consistently across dense, text-led documents.
- A highly organised, fast, and detail-oriented working style with the ability to operate independently and manage high asset volumes.
- Previous exposure to financial services, insurance, corporate banking, or specialist design/publishing work involving financial reports, prospectuses, or long-form publications is preferred.
Additional Information
This is an onsite contract role based in Auckland CBD, with a hybrid working arrangement available. The team environment is described as supportive.
