Role overview

Radically is a consulting business focused on helping organisations operate more effectively. The firm works with major clients in banking, retail, insurance, and the public sector to reshape how work is prioritised, funded, and delivered. Its main areas of work are operating model design and cost transformation.

Rather than producing strategy documents from a distance, the team works side by side with senior leadership to strengthen decision-making, reduce unnecessary complexity, simplify structures, and lift performance and productivity in measurable ways.

The position is based in Auckland and includes some travel within New Zealand. It is a full-time role.

The salary range for this opportunity is NZD 120,000 to NZD 170,000.

What the work involves

In this role, you will be a key contributor to client engagements and will work directly with senior stakeholders to diagnose organisational issues and put practical improvements in place.

You will take ownership of workstreams across operating model and cost transformation projects, support leadership discussions, and help teams make clear choices when priorities compete.

This is a hands-on consulting role rather than a purely advisory one. You will work closely with client teams, convert unclear business problems into concrete actions, and help deliver visible outcomes.

Success in this role means helping leadership teams improve how the organisation runs so effectively that they can continue without Radically’s support.

Key responsibilities

• Own important workstreams within operating model and cost transformation programmes.
• Review organisational structures, governance arrangements, and planning processes.
• Spot duplication, inefficiencies, and the main drivers of cost.
• Run planning and prioritisation sessions with leadership teams.
• Turn broad strategy into clear, actionable priorities.
• Prepare practical recommendations and assist with implementation.
• Support leaders in making sound trade-off decisions.
• Develop strong working relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Coach and guide Consultants as they grow.
• Contribute to the firm’s internal knowledge, tools, and intellectual property.

What we are looking for

Radically is seeking commercially aware consultants with strong judgment and a genuine curiosity about how organisations really work.

Ideal candidates are able to quickly understand business operations, break down complex problems into clear structures, and communicate credibly with senior stakeholders. They should be comfortable combining analysis with practical thinking, challenging ideas respectfully, and staying focused on outcomes rather than process for its own sake.

Experience and background

The expected background for this role includes 4 to 10 years of professional experience. Suitable experience may come from consulting, strategy, transformation, business operations, product leadership, or similar roles.

Strong stakeholder management, facilitation ability, structured problem-solving, analytical thinking, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are important.

Experience with operating model work or organisational design is useful, as is financial analysis or business case development. Exposure to large corporate or public sector environments is also beneficial, but not essential.

Agile certifications are not required.
