Senior Business Analyst

Overview

This is an opportunity to join a Victorian Government client as a Senior Business Analyst on a contract running until December 2026. The position is based in Geelong and follows a hybrid model, with three days a week required in the office. The day rate is $789.53 plus superannuation.

Project context

The role supports phase 2 of the Claims System Modernisation Initiative (CSMI). You will be part of the Return-to-Work business unit and contribute to a major Salesforce transformation program. The Senior Business Analyst reports to the Senior Program Manager and works within a multidisciplinary delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of business analysts to support the delivery of strong business outcomes, using advanced facilitation and training capability to promote teamwork, innovation, and a positive client experience.
• Work with business, technology, vendor, and client stakeholders to identify business needs and both functional and non-functional solution requirements, then assess options and help implement the agreed approach.
• Produce and maintain business analysis deliverables such as requirements documentation, process maps, and data models, aligned to the project framework and delivery methods.
• Spot current and emerging issues in operating models, processes, and technology solutions, then document findings and put forward recommendations and alternatives for senior stakeholders including the Lead BA, Product Owners, Project Manager, Senior Manager BA Practice, and/or Program Director.
• Help prepare UAT and BAT plans and scripts, and support or lead business users during user acceptance and business acceptance testing.

Candidate profile

To be successful, you should bring experience working in transformational programs, ideally with Salesforce. Experience in social insurance or general insurance is preferred. The role calls for strong ownership, a results-driven mindset, the ability to manage deadlines, and the discipline to prioritise work effectively.

Working arrangement

You will need to be available to work from the Geelong office three days each week as part of the hybrid setup.
