Role purpose

As a Room Attendant, you’ll be an important part of the Housekeeping team, helping create an excellent guest experience by keeping rooms spotless and focusing on the small details that matter. The role also involves working closely with teammates and assisting guests when needed, contributing to a stay that feels warm, comfortable, and memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including replacing linen, sanitising bathrooms, and wiping surfaces to ensure rooms are presented to a high standard.
• Follow established housekeeping procedures and service standards consistently.
• Keep housekeeping trolleys tidy, stocked, and ready for use.
• Handle cleaning products safely and follow all required safety practices.
• Protect guest privacy and security at all times.
• Escalate maintenance concerns promptly to help maintain a smooth guest experience.

Experience and job requirements

• Prior work as a cleaner or room attendant is beneficial, though not essential.
• You should communicate in a friendly, approachable manner with both guests and colleagues.
• A strong eye for detail, good time management, and an efficient work style are important.
• This is a physically active role and may involve moving between rooms via internal and external staircases and open walkways.
• You should enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and contributing to a team environment.
• Reliable transport is needed, along with the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
