Overview
This contract opportunity is for a creative brand designer who can help define the visual direction of a new international swimwear and lifestyle label. The brand is centered on body positivity and confidence for women, with particular attention to curvy figures, larger busts, and lipoedema. The work will involve close collaboration on the first collection, turning mood boards and brand ideas into contemporary, comfortable, and feminine swimwear concepts.
The assignment places strong emphasis on inventive pattern and print creation, tropical-inspired brand aesthetics, and the possibility of building a long-term creative relationship as the collection takes shape.
Key deliverables
- Develop original concept sketches for bikini shorts, swim tops, and tankinis designed for curvy and varied body shapes.
- Create prints and patterns that support a fresh, feminine, and tropical look.
- Contribute to branding work by refining existing mood boards and logo ideas.
- Present design updates and refine the work based on feedback until the intended style is achieved.
- Produce factory-ready files and technical documentation for manufacturers.
Requirements
- Background in fashion or brand design, preferably with experience in swimwear or womenswear.
- A strong portfolio showing skill in clothing design, pattern development, and print work.
- Clear understanding of fit, comfort, and styling needs for curvy and diverse body types.
- Hands-on ability with design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software.
- Comfort with translating mood boards and brand ideas into a unified visual identity.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to creative work.
- Familiarity with current swimwear trends, fabric choices, and sustainable materials is an advantage.
- Availability to work across multiple milestones and deliver on time throughout the project.
