About the role
MARS Recruitment is a nationally recognised recruitment firm in Australia, and the Perth Accounting & Finance team is expanding. This full-time Recruitment Consultant opportunity is based in Perth, WA and includes a yearly salary package plus a quarterly commission structure. You will support well-known businesses across Australia while working in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Gather hiring requirements and role details directly from clients.
- Prepare targeted advertising content for open positions.
- Build and maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- Screen applications, shortlist suitable talent, and conduct interviews.
- Carry out reference verification checks.
- Drive business growth through client acquisition and candidate sourcing.
- Promote services to potential clients and expand market reach.
- Strengthen ongoing relationships with current clients through regular engagement.
- Own the recruitment journey end to end, from workforce planning and sourcing through to selection and candidate start date readiness.
- Keep internal records and databases accurate and current.
- Develop and manage your own client base and source appropriate candidates.
- Advise candidates on career opportunities and role suitability.
- Deliver recruitment and labour-hire solutions tailored to client needs.
- Negotiate outcomes that work well for both candidates and clients.
Experience and requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in recruitment.
- Comfort working independently while also contributing effectively in a team setting.
- Background in agency recruitment or a large in-house recruitment environment.
- A strong results-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to understand people’s motivations and align candidate and client needs.
- A practical, solution-focused approach.
Additional information
The role is offered on a full-time basis and includes annual remuneration together with a quarterly commission arrangement.
