Role Overview

This opportunity is for an experienced recruiter to support hiring needs for renewable energy teams based in Houston, Texas. It is a long-term contract role focused on managing end-to-end recruitment for corporate, technical, and field positions connected to wind and solar initiatives. The right person will have strong sourcing skills, be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and work closely with hiring leaders to secure strong talent across several locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full recruiting process for both exempt and non-exempt roles tied to wind and solar operations, starting from intake discussions and continuing through offer acceptance.
• Handle multiple active requisitions across technical, operational, construction, project management, safety, and maintenance functions in different regions.
• Develop focused candidate attraction plans using direct outreach, industry contacts, job boards, referrals, and other sourcing methods.
• Screen and interview applicants, recommend qualified candidates to hiring teams, and support consistent and effective selection decisions.
• Maintain talent pipelines for specialized renewable energy roles, including passive candidates and hard-to-fill field positions.
• Coordinate recruitment activity around project timelines, high-volume staffing needs, and workforce requirements across multiple sites.
• Work with business leaders and operations teams to share market insights, compensation trends, and hiring timeline expectations.
• Keep recruiting records current, track hiring metrics, and support compliance with employment laws, company policies, and wage-related rules.
• Represent the company at industry events and career fairs, while helping improve recruiting processes and the candidate journey.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of end-to-end recruiting experience, ideally in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, or a similar industry.
• Proven ability to hire for technical, specialized, and field-based roles in demanding, fast-moving environments.
• Strong background in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates across multiple open positions.
• Experience supporting hiring efforts that are spread across locations or driven by project deadlines.
• Comfort using applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter and online sourcing platforms.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Good working knowledge of employment practices, recruiting documentation, and hiring data tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be accepted.
