Quality Assurance Engineer - AI Trainer

About the role

This role is for a Quality Assurance Engineer focused on AI training work. You will join a large coding community of more than 100,000 professionals, including front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and other engineers, all contributing to practical AI development.

The work combines flexibility with technical challenge. You’ll collaborate with advanced AI systems on programming tasks such as creating and solving difficult coding problems, building feature-rich applications, and turning data into meaningful analysis and visualizations. Your contributions help improve intelligent systems that continue to learn and adapt.

Some contributors use this alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main work and select projects and schedules based on their own availability and goals.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that functions as the selection step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email, and paid work will be made available through the platform.

Responsibilities

• Create and solve a wide range of coding tasks used to train AI models, with a strong focus on Android development.
• Produce clean code examples along with clear, detailed explanations.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps improve future AI model performance.

Qualifications

• Strong English fluency at a native or bilingual level.
• Prior experience with Kotlin is preferred.
• Ability to work confidently in at least one of the following languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
• Excellent written communication, including grammar and clarity.
• Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress.
• Background as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is preferred.

Additional information

This is an independent contractor arrangement. Payment is handled through PayPal, and no money will ever be requested from you. Any currency conversion from USD will be managed by PayPal.

This opportunity is available only to candidates located in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. Applicants outside these countries will not see work or assessments on the platform.

Compensation and work style

Projects are paid on an hourly basis, starting at $50–$100+ per hour, with some assignments offering even higher rates. You can choose the projects you take and decide when you work.

You will work from your own computer and can complete projects from home.
