QA/QC Manager

Job Overview

The QA/QC Manager oversees quality assurance and quality control for civil works, making sure materials, installations, and work processes meet project specifications, industry requirements, and applicable regulations. Core Responsibilities

• Prepare and roll out project-specific QA/QC plans for civil activities.
• Set quality goals and establish the procedures, controls, and benchmarks used to measure performance.
• Make sure QA/QC practices match client expectations, industry standards, and internal company policies.
• Inspect and test materials, equipment, and site installations to confirm compliance with project specifications.
• Lead and support site quality inspectors and technicians throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review subcontractor and vendor quality plans and verify they meet project requirements.
• Spot, record, and resolve non-conformances related to materials or workmanship.
• Carry out root cause analysis and put corrective measures in place to avoid repeated issues.
• Keep a non-conformance register updated and share progress reports with stakeholders.
• Ensure all civil works comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate inspections and certifications with regulatory authorities when needed.
• Maintain proper records to support compliance reviews and audit activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to align quality control with project timelines.
• Explain quality expectations and requirements clearly to contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Offer technical advice and support on quality matters during project execution.
• Run training sessions for site teams to improve awareness of quality standards and practices.
• Keep the team informed about updates to standards, codes, and industry best practices.
• Compile detailed QA/QC reports covering inspection results, test outcomes, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Organize and maintain a structured archive of quality documents for audits and reference.
• Present quality KPIs and project updates to senior management and clients.
• Review project performance data to identify patterns and improvement opportunities.
• Recommend and implement actions that improve quality processes and reduce defects.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by the direct manager.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• Knowledge of planning and scheduling tools.
• Strong project management capability.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to lead teams.
