Role Overview

In this position, you will work closely with project teams and take responsibility for core delivery tasks across civil works such as roading, earthworks, rail, and urban infrastructure. The role focuses on keeping work planned, coordinated, progressing to programme, and delivered safely, within budget, and to the required standard.

About You

The ideal candidate is an experienced Project Engineer who is confident operating in demanding project environments. You should bring a balance of technical knowledge, leadership ability, and commercial understanding.

Key Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a Project Engineer role within civil infrastructure.
• Exposure to roading, rail, earthworks, or comparable heavy civil projects.
• Well-developed communication skills and the ability to build productive site relationships.
• Capability to lead people and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
• Strong planning and scheduling skills, along with practical financial awareness.
• Current understanding of New Zealand health and safety legislation.
• A relevant engineering qualification.
• Must have the legal right to accept permanent employment in New Zealand.
