About the role
We are looking for a proactive Production Administrator to provide essential office and coordination support for the Cables operation in Kewdale, WA. The position works closely with the Workshop Manager and the wider operations team to keep production activities, customer orders, and documentation running smoothly.
This role is central to maintaining reliable records, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring a professional level of service for both internal teams and external customers in a busy, fast-moving environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Workshop Manager and operations team with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Draft reports, business correspondence, and workshop-related documentation
- Create jobs, enter data accurately, and maintain records in ERP platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations
- Handle customer quotes, order processing, and invoicing tasks
- Manage customer calls, enquiries, and on-site visitors
- Keep registers, databases, and filing systems up to date
- Coordinate purchase orders, goods receipting, and invoice verification
- Assist with production reporting and follow up on outstanding actions
- Work in line with company procedures and quality standards
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers to help maintain an efficient workflow
About you
To succeed in this role, you should bring strong administration capability, excellent organisation, and a high level of accuracy. Experience in a workshop, manufacturing, or service-based setting would be especially relevant.
Education and experience
A Certificate II or III in Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred. A current driver’s licence is also required.
Skills and knowledge
You will need solid Microsoft Office skills, confidence with ERP systems, and strong capabilities in data entry and record management. The role also calls for good communication, customer service skills, and the ability to handle several priorities at once in a demanding environment.
