Merchandise Category Responsibilities

  • Support merchandise product development and ordering by preparing order templates with relevant data and recommendations, ensuring submissions are accurate and on schedule, assisting with downstream coordination as the main contact person, and handling merchandise sample records and storage.
  • Work with cross-functional execution teams to plan and deliver product initiatives successfully, including preparing campaign launch kits, administering POS materials, setting store targets, and producing accurate store allocation lists.
  • Create and maintain reporting tools for scheduled and ad hoc sales, campaign, and product launch reviews; track outcomes, communicate findings, and highlight lessons learned and business opportunities.
  • Conduct market and competitor research, along with trend analysis, to uncover potential category and business growth areas.
  • Partner with relevant teams to recommend appealing in-store merchandising standards.

E-Commerce Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal e-commerce stakeholders and external platform partners to manage timelines, assortment updates, promotion and launch setups, core assortment replenishment, and related channel activities.
  • Work with internal teams such as IT on digital tool improvements and serve as the point person for user acceptance testing of platform enhancements.
  • Assist with other category-related tasks whenever needed.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in Business, or an equivalent qualification, is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in retail is preferred, especially in merchandising, buying, or category-related functions.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with varied daily responsibilities.
