Role overview
This remote contract role is for a Procurement Analyst supporting a global procurement function from anywhere in the United States. The assignment runs for 6 months at a rate of 35.23 per hour. It is well suited to an early-career professional who wants exposure to enterprise procurement work, strategic sourcing, analytics, and process improvement.
The position is intended for someone with strong analytical ability, good business judgment, and the confidence to partner with stakeholders across teams. You will contribute to procurement initiatives, help improve business processes, and support decisions with data-driven insights.
What you'll work on
- Analyze procurement data and turn large datasets into practical recommendations.
- Support business process improvement efforts across procurement workflows.
- Work with procurement leadership and cross-functional partners to advance ongoing initiatives.
- Assist with gathering business needs and translating them into documented process requirements.
- Contribute to supplier- and sourcing-related activities as needed across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with team members while handling a mostly individual contributor role.
Required background
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a similar field is required.
- A master’s degree is preferred, though candidates with a bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
- Six Sigma certification or an equivalent degree is required.
- Background in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related business function is needed.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills are essential.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis methods are expected.
- Experience working with large datasets and drawing actionable conclusions from them is important.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and document processes is required.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to indirect procurement environments.
- Working knowledge of procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and contract management.
- Familiarity with procurement systems, ERP software, or e-sourcing tools.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar analytics platforms.
- Comfort managing several projects at the same time.
- Exposure to corporate travel management is a plus.

This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates across the United States. It is a 6-month contract focused entirely on procurement analytics, business analysis, and process improvement. The day-to-day workload is largely hands-on, with a small portion of time devoted to team collaboration and no management responsibility.
