About the role
The Platform Specialist will be responsible for supporting the platforms and systems that underpin store, team, and customer operations. This role suits someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, improving reliability, and working in an environment where critical systems run around the clock.
Key responsibilities
- Implement improvements, enhancements, and upgrades that strengthen platform performance and stability.
- Provide support for essential systems in a 24/7 operational setting.
- Respond to incidents, investigate technical issues, and restore service as quickly as possible.
- Build automation and tooling to cut down manual work and lower operational risk.
- Carry out patching, release activities, upgrades, and lifecycle management for platforms.
- Maintain secure platform configurations, access controls, and vulnerability remediation practices.
- Support reliability initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and root cause analysis.
What we're looking for
- Practical experience operating and supporting enterprise platforms and business systems.
- Background working in a 24/7 production environment.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting, incident handling, and problem resolution.
- Working knowledge of platform security, patch management, access control, and vulnerability management.
- Experience delivering upgrades, releases, and platform changes safely.
- Comfort with automation, monitoring, and modern engineering practices.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to keep stakeholders updated during incidents and change work.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and commitment to high-quality service.
