Role Overview

This position is for an accomplished and forward-looking Plant Manager to take charge of plant-wide operations, production outcomes, and overall operational performance. The role involves guiding manufacturing, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and workforce functions while keeping the facility aligned with safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

Key Responsibilities

Direct all areas of plant activity, including production, maintenance, quality, and facility operations.
Create and implement operating plans that support production goals and wider business targets.
Monitor and improve performance across safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery metrics.
Lead, mentor, and build the capability of plant leadership teams and operational employees.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legal requirements.
Champion continuous improvement using methods such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar approaches.
Improve production workflows, make better use of resources, and raise operational efficiency.
Oversee plant budgets, spending control, and operational forecasting.
Work closely with supply chain, engineering, finance, and senior leadership stakeholders.
Set operating standards, policies, and structured programs for performance improvement.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
An MBA or master’s qualification in Business Administration or Operations Management is considered an advantage.
At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing operations, plant leadership, production management, or a similar function.
At least 3 years of experience leading large-scale manufacturing operations or plant teams is preferred.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, quality management, and operational excellence practices.
Hands-on exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or comparable continuous improvement frameworks.
Solid capability in financial management, budgeting, and cost reduction.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
Comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
