Plant Controller

Overview

This is a full-time Plant Controller position with an onsite working setup. The role is based in Birmingham, with the location listed as Redditch, England, United Kingdom. It offers a salary in the range of £30,000 to £40,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Make sure site requirements are supplied in line with the dates and timings requested.
• Confirm that owned plant is available before arranging any hire where relevant.
• Choose the most cost-effective option when fulfilling an order.
• Take responsibility for resolving issues through to completion.
• Provide the site with updates on timing and equipment details when needed.
• Replace hired plant with the company fleet whenever that is practical.
• Review and agree damage and loss charges together with the Plant Manager.
• Stay aware of new products and services relevant to the role.
• Handle supplier relationships and coordination.
• Monitor and follow up on queries until they are resolved.

Requirements

• Strong practical understanding of plant equipment and plant operations.
• Previous experience handling plant hire, plant movements, and haulage coordination.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience in the construction industry would be beneficial.
