Role overview
This role leads operational delivery for regional customers while helping extend a global delivery model. The position is centered in Sydney and combines client leadership, account growth, team development, and oversight of delivery quality and performance.
Client leadership and delivery oversight
- Expand a global delivery approach and support customers across the region.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including vice presidents and C-suite leaders, by maintaining close contact and regular engagement through steering sessions, quarterly reviews, social events, and executive networking.
- Identify client needs early and convert them into commercial opportunities, giving Globant enough time to prepare the right response.
- Monitor programs and portfolios proactively to spot risks and improvement areas that may affect quality.
- Track delivery progress, manage escalations, and represent the team to the client while coordinating internally to resolve issues.
- Select the most appropriate engagement model for each situation and approve proposals.
Business development and account planning
- Work alongside the Managing Director and VP of Technology to grow Globant’s services in Asia Pacific and help establish the regional hub.
- Contribute to merger and acquisition initiatives, including evaluating and integrating acquired businesses.
- Build a strong understanding of the client’s business, financial position, industry developments, and key competitors.
- Research the client’s organization and broaden the network across relevant stakeholders.
- Develop a strategic expansion plan that combines technology insight with business understanding.
- Stay current on Globant’s capabilities so the client offering remains relevant and competitive.
- Identify regional trends and demand patterns to strengthen Globant’s value proposition.
People management
- Define the delivery strategy, including governance structure and program/project team setup.
- Build and organize teams, then coach, mentor, and train them in strong project management practices.
- Give regular feedback to support high performance.
- Collaborate with offshore teams and help develop local talent in Globant’s delivery model.
- Keep the team motivated, engaged, and satisfied throughout the engagement.
- Align the team with account strategy so each member understands their role in execution.
- Set practical goals that support broader strategic objectives and assign them clearly.
- Promote Globant’s culture and values in new markets.
Strategic and financial focus
- Embed Globant’s strategic priorities and refreshed value proposition into account planning.
- Build financial targets into daily operations to support revenue and margin objectives.
