Role overview

The bank is hiring a full-time Mortgage Loan Processor III for its Irvine, CA location, with fully remote work options available. This role supports borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and outside parties by managing mortgage files accurately, promptly, and in line with all applicable requirements. Level III processors are expected to handle a broad range of loan scenarios and application types.

Key responsibilities

• Review mortgage files carefully to confirm that all required documents are accurate, complete, properly calculated, and compliant for underwriting review, including DU conditions and income calculations before submission.
• Work across a wide mix of loan products, property types, and borrower income situations such as conventional, FHA, fixed-rate, conforming, refinance, purchase, Texas 50(a)(6), primary, secondary, investment, W-2, retired, and self-employed cases.
• Keep applicants, loan officers, underwriters, and third parties updated on application progress and any issues that need to be resolved.
• Enter loan information accurately into the processing system and carry out online research when needed.
• Support closing activities by helping coordinate final approval and related preparation tasks with other departments.
• Consistently manage demanding turnaround times tied to underwriting, closing, and other milestones.
• Follow company policies, contract terms, investor rules, lending-program requirements, and all relevant state and federal regulations.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 5 years of direct mortgage processing experience is required.
• A four-year college degree in a related field is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are important.
• The role calls for professionalism, leadership potential, confidentiality, strong attention to detail, and solid interpersonal skills.
• Applicants should also have basic math ability, data entry accuracy, income calculation experience, DU requirement knowledge, and multitasking capability.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $33.00 to $36.00, depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

Working conditions

This position may require extended periods of sitting or standing, frequent computer use, and routine reaching for work tasks. Employees may also need to walk regularly and occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, climb, or lift items weighing up to 10 pounds. Visual demands include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
