MEP BIM Coordinator

About the Role

Pinnacle Infotech is looking for a seasoned MEP BIM Coordinator to support the Janadriyah Project in Qiddiya, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This position is focused on guiding MEP BIM coordination, aligning the work with architectural, structural, and other disciplines, and helping the project progress through strong BIM processes and cross-functional teamwork.

The role is site-based in Qiddiya. Accommodation may be arranged in Riyadh according to company policy, but the chosen candidate must work from the project site and be prepared for commuting between Riyadh and Qiddiya as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP BIM models with architectural, structural, and other project disciplines.
• Carry out clash detection and help close coordination gaps using BIM tools and established workflows.
• Make sure all work follows project BIM standards, the BIM Execution Plan, and client requirements.
• Check MEP models for accuracy, buildability, completeness, and readiness for coordination.
• Track design revisions and ensure BIM models and deliverables are updated on time.
• Serve as the main BIM point of contact between the site team, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Support construction teams with model reviews, technical clarifications, and issue resolution related to BIM.
• Take part in site discussions, coordination workshops, and multidisciplinary review meetings to solve technical and construction challenges.
• Help improve communication between design and construction teams for smoother execution.
• Monitor model quality and ensure compliance with project standards and level of development expectations.
• Manage model updates, federated models, and consistency of data across disciplines.
• Track, record, and close BIM coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare clash reports, coordination updates, and progress reports for stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for RFIs, design changes, BIM deliverables, and coordination decisions.
• Support the production of coordinated shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built models.
• Help ensure BIM outputs are delivered on schedule and aligned with project milestones.
• Contribute to BIM best practices and continuous improvement of project workflows and coordination methods.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of BIM coordination experience, including at least 2 years in an onsite MEP BIM coordination position.
• Hands-on experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and construction-phase project delivery.
• Experience with large commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments.
• Prior exposure to projects in the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of MEP system coordination, clash detection, and BIM workflows.
• Familiarity with BIM Execution Planning and ISO 19650 standards.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, and Common Data Environment workflows.
• Ability to handle federated models and coordinate BIM deliverables across multiple disciplines.
